The Team 1 Alliance Brazilian Jiu Jitsu network was created by Josh Johnson, 1st degree black belt under Professor Luiz Palhares. This association is made up of academies that work to promote authentic BJJ training consistent with the standards set forth by Josh Johnson. Our club proudly represents the Team 1 Alliance. Through the association we have been fortunate enough to bring authentic Brazilian Jiu Jitsu training to Hazard.
Brazilian Jiu Jitsu offers students countless means for self defense. With the right attitude and dedication students are able to earn rank through the Team 1 Alliance at the Hazard academy. The Hazard school offers blue belt
level instruction at this time.
Other Team 1 Alliance locations include Elizabethtown, Bowling Green, Owensboro, and Central City. It should be noted that the E-Town and Bowling Green locations are instructed by Josh Johnson, making them black belt level academies. Students should train there if at all possible for optimal progression in BJJ, whether that be on a permanent or occassional basis.
